Juventus face competition from Barcelona when it comes to pursuing a free transfer for current Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey, according to reports.
CaughtOffside claim that the Blaugrana have now joined the race to sign Partey over the summer of 2025, as his contract at the Emirates Stadium is due to expire on June 30.
By that time, he will have just turned 32 years of age, which is one of the reasons why Arsenal are yet to agree a new contract with him.
The Gunners had paid €50m to purchase the Ghana international from Atletico Madrid in October 2020 and he has since gone on to make 152 competitive appearances for the club, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists.
Partey tempting prospect for clubs
Juventus have long been interested in picking him up as a free agent, but now face strong competition from Barcelona.
Although representing Ghana at international level, the player moved to Spain at a young age and came up through the Atletico Madrid youth academy.
