Freiburg on the verge of signing Japanese winger

Sky Germany reports that Freiburg have agreed a deal to sign Yuito Suzuki from Danish side Brøndby.

With Ritsu Doan heavily linked with a move away from SC Freiburg, the Bundesliga club appear to have lined up a potential replacement.

According to Sky Germany, Freiburg have reached an agreement to sign Yuito Suzuki from Danish side Brøndby IF. The 23-year-old winger is set to join for a reported fee of €7–8 million and has already passed his medical.

Suzuki, who mostly plays om the right wing, has impressed this season with 12 goals and six assists in 38 appearances for Brøndby in all competitions. 

Freiburg already showed interest in the Japanese international last summer, but weren’t able to come to an agreement with Brøndby back then. This time, the deal looks set to go through.
