Jeremie Frimpong was seen backing his Liverpool team-mate Conor Bradley moments after their triumph over Real Madrid. The Reds secured a 1-0 victory against the La Liga giants in Tuesday night’s Champions League match, keeping their winning streak alive.

Alexis Mac Allister’s second-half header broke the stalemate, ensuring Arne Slot’s team’s victory over Xabi Alonso’s squad. Liverpool’s focus will now shift to their upcoming Premier League clash with Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.

Bradley delivered a standout performance at right-back for Liverpool, where he was assigned the task of marking Real’s star player Vinicius Jr. throughout the game.

With Frimpong out due to injury, Slot opted for Bradley in the full-back position.

Liverpool signed Frimpong following Trent Alexander-Arnold’s departure from the club, with the Netherlands international vying with Bradley for the right-back position in the team.

However, Frimpong is currently out of action due to a hamstring injury that has kept him sidelined for the past four games, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Despite not being part of the squad for the win over Real, Frimpong was present at Anfield to cheer on his team-mates.

Following the final whistle, Frimpong was seen embracing Bradley and smiling as they celebrated their win. Even with the academy product having seemingly become the No.1 right-back in recent times, Frimpong showed his class and support for the youngster.

Slot confirmed earlier this week that he does not anticipate Frimpong being fit to face Man City in Liverpool’s final match before the international break. The Reds boss also shed more light on Frimpong’s injury last month.

“Jeremie’s not in a good place,” said Slot in a press conference before Liverpool’s defeat to Brentford last month.

“What I mean by that he is definitely not going to play today, tomorrow or next week. Hamstring injury so that’s going to take a while.”

Liverpool will be hoping to get another victory in the Premier League when they face Man City at the weekend, having beaten their historic title rivals on their travels last season.

The Reds are currently in third place in the Premier League table and are seven points behind leaders Arsenal in the overall standings, as well as one point adrift of Man City who are second.
