Amazon Prime Video host Gabby Logan was forced to apologise just minutes into the broadcaster’s coverage of Arsenal vs PSG Champions League clash. 

Mikel Arteta‘s men host the French outfit tonight at the Emirates at 8pm however Arsenal fans were left confused following a major blunder by Amazon.

The streaming platform’s preview show was scheduled for 6:30pm, however when the time arrived, there was no sign of the programme beginning. 

Over the next half hour fans tuning into the game were just greeted by a blank screen and it was only at 7pm when coverage finally got underway.

Aware of the major error, Gabby Logan was quick to issue an apology live on air.

Coverage was meant to begin at 6:30pm ahead of the 8pm kick-off time however fans were greeted with a blank screen for a half hour before the coverage actually began

Joined alongside Frank Lampard, Clarence Seedorf and Daniel Sturridge at pitch side, Logan turned to the camera seconds into the start of the show to apologise over the delay.

She said ‘welcome to the emirates, apologies we’re on air a little later than we’d hoped to be, but we’re here now’.

Fans watching from home however were not too pleased by the delay.

One fan took to social media to say ‘Who watching via #AmazonPrimeVideo #Arsenal #PSG says watch from six thirty pm and not working’ followed by a sad face emoji.

Whilst another commented: ‘Arsenal/PSG on Amazon prime not going well, says live from 6.30’.

A third added: ‘It’s not allowing me to choose the watch option’.

Others however defended the streaming platform and offered potential reasoning for the delay.

One X user posted: ‘Maybe they meant seven so hope works soon but got all set up to watch and button can’t be clicked to watch it lol. COYG’.

Amazon Prime are the new kids on the block for Champions League coverage after earning holding rights for one match a week under a new TV agreement for the 2024-25 season.

The streaming platform have been given the top pick each Tuesday, with football broadcaster veterans TNT Sports showing the remaining ties. 

Fans can view Amazon Prime’s top Tuesday pick via Prime Video, which is included in a Prime membership which costs £8.99 a month.
