Gabriel Jesus could hold the key to STUNNING Arsenal transfer

Juventus hold an unlikely interest in Gabriel Jesus, but there may be a way for a deal to materialise.

The Arsenal striker has been in the news quite a bit lately. This is due to the fact that the north London side are desperately looking for a prolific number nine to add to Mikel Arteta’s squad, with Viktor Gyokeres the man chosen to lead the Gunners’ frontline next year.

FootballTransfers has been able to reveal that the Swede would be open to the move and it appears that a deal is only a matter of time. Jesus, for his part, recently tried to convince the Arsenal hierarchy that they do not need to sign another striker, but the fact of the matter is that the Brazilian just hasn’t been prolific – or fit – enough to pose a consistent goal threat.

Despite this, Jesus is keen to stay and Fabrizio Romano has reported that the acquisition of a new centre-forward won’t influence Jesus’ future. However, according to TuttoJuve, Juventus are keenly monitoring his situation. The Bianconeri are notoriously tight on money, so they are either being overly ambitious or delusional.

And yet, there may be a way to get Arsenal to sell.

Yildiz swap?

If Juventus really are as keen on Jesus as is being claimed, the obvious thing to do would be for the Italians to soften their stance on Kenan Yildiz. Arsenal are long-time admirers of the Turkish wonderkid, but it was recently reported that Juventus have made him ‘untouchable’ and are trying to tie him down until 2030, potentially even handing him Alessandro del Piero’s famous number ten shirt.

The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the biggest prospects in Europe, so it is only natural that the Serie A giants would want to keep hold of him. However, if they really want Jesus, they may have to bite the bullet on Yildiz.

Juventus certainly are not averse to cashing in on talent. The Bianconeri will offload several youngsters this summer in order to fund big-money transfers, with Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners their top target. Offering up Yildiz in exchange for Jesus could convince the Gunners to let go of him.

Stranger things have happened. After all, let’s not forget that Juventus attempted to swap Dusan Vlahovic for Romelu Lukaku last year, with the deal only falling apart because Chelsea were unwilling to pay the €40 million premium their Italian counterparts were demanding.
