Galatasaray improve Osimhen offer again to 75m in two payments

Multiple sources are now stating that Galatasaray are prepared to pay €40m cash immediately to Napoli for Victor Osimhen, plus another €35m in a second instalment. “We won’t come back without Osimhen.”

The report first emerged in Turkey with Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, then Fabrizio Romano, as the situation is fast-moving and still very complicated.

It came less than an hour after the latest offer worth a total €70m was rejected outright, as although the €75m release clause deadline has passed, it remains the absolute minimum price Napoli are prepared to accept.

Osimhen payment terms a problem for Napoli

The problem now is the payment schedule, as the Partenopei want the full fee over two instalments rather than the planned five.

It is suggested the way of achieving that is €40m upfront, plus another €35m in the second payment.

If Galatasaray can again provide the sufficient letters of credit from banks to guarantee the full €75m, then Osimhen should finally get the all clear to fly out to Istanbul.

It is unlikely the situation will be resolved tonight, so another meeting is planned for Saturday morning, as the Galatasaray directors repeatedly delay their flight back home.

“We won’t come back without Osimhen,” director Abdullah Kavukcu told reporters this evening.

The Nigeria international spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, where he scored 37 goals and provided eight assists in 41 competitive appearances.
