With reports Paris Saint-Germain are ready to sell Gianluigi Donnarumma, Galatasaray continue to pursue the Italy international for an unlikely swoop.

The former Milan man is down to the final months of his contract in Paris, which expires at the end of the season.

Negotiations for him to take a pay cut have found very little progress, and L’Equipe stated last night that PSG were fully prepared to sell this summer rather than risk losing another top star name as a free agent.

Finding another club prepared to pay his current €12m per season salary is going to be tricky in Serie A, even if Juventus and Inter remain interested.

Chelsea and Manchester United are more likely contenders in the Premier League.

However, Tuttomercatoweb warn that Galatasaray genuinely believe they can make the move stick and coax the Italian to the Turkish Super Lig.

They are already making heavy investments with Victor Osimhen from Napoli at a cost of €75m, while they had tried to approach Milan’s Mike Maignan and Ederson of Manchester City for the goal.
