Multiple outlets are reporting that Galatasaray are making serious attempts to sign Italy international Davide Frattesi from Inter this window, and that the Turkish giants are willing to invest up to €35m on the 26-year-old.

Galatasaray keen to swoop for Frattesi

According to reports from various outlets on Sunday, including Gianluca Di Marzio and Matteo Moretto, Galatasaray are aiming to land the signing of out-of-favour Inter midfielder Frattesi.

The 33-time Italy international, who joined the Nerazzurri from Sassuolo in 2023, has been limited to just nine appearances in Serie A under Cristian Chivu this term. Only one of those appearances was as a starter, and his total minutes add up to just 205 in the league so far this term.

Several clubs have been linked with a move for the 26-year-old midfielder in the early stages of the January transfer window, including Juventus and Fenerbahce, however, Sunday’s reports indicate that Galatasaray are prepared to table a genuine offer in the near future.

Gianluca Di Marzio claims that there are talks of a loan deal with a potential obligation to buy for a fee in the region of €35m between Galatasaray and Inter.

Inter would reportedly prefer to sell Frattesi outright, though, rather than sending him out on loan with a conditional buy option.
