Chelsea attacker Alejandro Garnacho will wear the number 49 shirt following his move from Manchester United this summer.
The Argentina international was determined to leave the Red Devils during the transfer window after a fall-out with manager Ruben Amorim.
He had earmarked the Blues as his preferred destination and did not change his stance despite receiving an offer from Bayern Munich.
Garnacho eventually got his wish. Chelsea agreed to sign him from the Red Devils for £35 million plus £5 million in add-ons.
The 21-year-old is expected to make his debut following the international break and has now been handed the number 49 shirt.
Garnacho has also been picked in the Blues’ Champions League squad and will come up against Bayern whom he turned down.
Chelsea have made a good start to the campaign with seven points from three league games and the onus is now on finding consistency.
They face Brentford on the road shortly after the international break.
