Gary Neville‘s latest career change following his retirement from football has been revealed, with a surprising new venture for the ex-defender now confirmed.
The Manchester United legend hung up his boots back in 2011 having spent 29 years on the books at Old Trafford, making 602 appearances and lifting a whopping 12 Premier League titles.
Neville made his debut appearance on Dragons Den earlier this month, with the former England international investing in two businesses as the show’s first ever guest Dragon.
The Sky Sports pundit and commentator – who has also invested in the hospitality industry – will however be taking yet another turn in his life after football this August.
It will be a perhaps surprising latest step for the former player, who will link up with a close friend and past contributor for a special event in the Lake District.

Neville has been named as a DJ at the Kendall Calling festival in Loweth Deer Park, near Penrith, where he will feature alongside friend and front-man for the Charlatans, Tim Burgess.
Ahead of Neville on the bill are headline acts Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, The Streets, Paulo Nutini and Paul Heaton.
Leeds United fans The Pigeon Detectives and the Lightning Seeds – who of course are famous for England anthem Football’s Coming Home – will also appear at Kendall Calling this summer.
While Neville is far from a household name as a DJ, he does have some musical experience on his CV.
He performed alongside Burgess on the rooftop of one of his own establishments, Hotel Football, with guitar in hand back in 2015.
Hotel Football is just one of Neville’s such establishments, and the Sky Sports regular has some 56 businesses listed on Companies House.
He began to incest in property while still at the peak of his playing days in his 20s, and now owns a number of hotels, townhouses and development projects – including the Stock Exchange Hotel.
He is also notably the owner of Salford City in League Two, alongside his fellow Class of 92 alumni Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, David Beckham and brother Phil Neville.

Salford have now spent five seasons in the Football League after being promoted from the National League, but are struggling this term as they find themselves in 20th spot with just seven wins from 28 games.
Of his recent appearance on the BBC’s entrepreneurial staple, Neville said: ‘Walking through those lift doors is going to be like walking out at Old Trafford as a 19-year-old.
‘Those lift doors are more famous than the Wembley tunnel. To follow in the footsteps of legends in the game like the Bannatynes of this world, the Lavanis, is something that I could never have imagined.’
