Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini stopped short of committing his future to La Dea with certainty, though he assured that “there will never be any issues” between him and the club.
Speculation over a potential departure at the end of the season has grown in recent months, fueled by some of Gasperini’s previous comments, but no final decision has been made.

The 67-year-old stressed that he still has a contract with Atalanta, while also admitting he will soon meet with the club to discuss future plans. He also expressed concern about the challenge of maintaining the high standards set this season, suggesting it may be difficult to replicate such success.
Gasperini: ‘I have a contract with Atalanta, but football is unpredictable’
“We’ll have the chance to discuss it with the club,” Gasperini told Sky Sport Italia, as quoted by TMW.
“I have a contract with Atalanta. It was the same last year — the renewal was signed in August, after the season had already started.
“There’s such harmony between me and Atalanta that there will never be any issues, but then again, football is unpredictable.
“To be honest, unlike in previous years, I feel it won’t be easy to repeat what Atalanta has done. That worries me — it’s not a given that we’ll be able to replicate this season’s achievements.”
When asked about the timing of his meeting with the club, Gasperini replied: “As soon as possible, we’ll need to assess what the options are for the future of the team.”

“As always, Atalanta rightly has to keep the budget in mind. There could be some departures — we’ll have to see which and how many.”
La Dea are already guaranteed a third-place finish, and Gasperini expressed no regrets despite suggestions that his side may have dropped more points than it should have.
“It’s been a really tough season,” he said.
“More than thinking about the points we dropped, I’m focused on the points we earned.”
