Germany player ratings against Bosnia-Herzegovina
Oliver Baumann – 7/10
Wasn’t threatened much, but did make three saves, with the one that kept out Gigovic’s effort towards the end of the first half being particularly notable.
Joshua Kimmich – 7/10
It took the Germany captain just two minutes to make his mark, setting up Jamal Musiala for the opener. He put in a solid all-round performance and made three key passes before going off with an injury in the second half.
Jonathan Tah – 6/10
Safe in the passing game, but only won three of nine duels for the ball and picked up a yellow card that will keep him out of Tuesday’s game against Hungary due to suspension.
Antonio Rüdiger – 9/10
Rock solid at the back, completing 95 percent of his passes and winning five of eight battles for the ball. Provided the assist for Tim Kleindienst’s second goal.
Maximilian Mittelstädt – 7/10
Put in a solid performance, completing 95 percent of his passes and winning four of six duels before being taken off early once the win was secured.
Robert Andrich – 7/10
Played a big part in Germany’s second goal as his shot from the edge of the box was turned in by Tim Kleindienst. Worked hard as usual, won three of five duels and completed 94 percent of his passes before coming off early.
Pascal Gross – 7/10
Wasn’t the most eye-catching player on the pitch, but did his job and provided plenty of security with a 93 percent passing accuracy.
Florian Wirtz – 10/10
A fantastic night for the Bayer Leverkusen youngster. Played his part in Germany’s second goal when the ball fell to the feet of assist-maker Robert Andrich after excellent work by Wirtz on the left. Combined brilliantly with Kai Havertz for the third, made it 4-0 with a free-kick and 5-0 at the back post before being taken off early.
Kai Havertz – 10/10
Was a threat throughout and threatened the visitors’ goal on several occasions. Scored Germany’s third goal after a neat one-two with Wirtz and set up two goals in the second half.
Jamal Musiala – 9/10
Gave Germany the perfect start, nodding in Joshua Kimmich’s cross after just two minutes, and came close to adding a second later. Completed five of six dribbles and made two key passes. Was taken off early along with three others.
Tim Kleindienst – 9/10
Scored his first goal for Germany in the 23rd minute, guiding Robert Andrich’s shot into the net. Later added his second of the game to complete the scoring for Germany.
