A much-changed Germany were held to a 1-1 draw by Hungary on Tuesday night after Dominik Szoboszlai’s late equaliser from the penalty spot.

Below you’ll find the Bulinews.com player ratings for the Germany players on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the worst and 10 being the best.

Germany player ratings against Hungary:

Alexander Nübel – 8/10

Made a strong impression and a number of great saves, with the way he tipped Varga’s second-half effort past the post particularly impressive. Was denied a clean sheet in injury time when Dominik Szoboszlai beat him with a cheeky Panenka finish from the penalty spot.

Joshua Kimmich – 6/10

A solid enough performance from the Germany captain, who completed 92 percent of his passes, but didn’t leave much of a mark on the game before being taken off at half-time.

Robin Koch – 5/10

Had a quite solid game without drawing too much attention to himself – until injury time, when his handball led to the penalty Hungary scored from.

Nico Schlotterbeck – 7/10

Completing 95 percent of his passes, Schlotterbeck did well to open up the play. Played a big part in Germany’s opening goal, as Nmecha scored after his initial finish.

Benjamin Henrichs – 6/10

An acceptable performance from the Leipzig full-back, who was switched from left-back to right-back at half-time. Won six of his nine duels and was one of the more active German players.

Robert Andrich – 5/10

Worked as hard as ever, but only won three of his nine duels and made too many bad passes.

Felix Nmecha – 7/10

Was quite unremarkable in the first half, but improved his game as the game progressed. Scored Germany’s only goal and won eight of his 11 duels.

Leroy Sané – 6/10

Worked hard and kept trying, although he wasn’t successful with everything he wanted to do. Took over the captain’s armband at half-time when Kimmich was substituted.

Julian Brandt – 3/10

Made a rare start for Germany, but didn’t make the most of his opportunity and failed to provide the creative spark hoped for. Had a goal ruled out for offside before being substituted after an hour.

Chris Führich – 3/10

A very unremarkable night for the Stuttgart winger, who wasn’t at his best. Never made his mark on the game.

Serge Gnabry – 5/10

Was quite active, but never really looked dangerous despite taking a number of shots. Did well to set up Robin Gosens’ shot early in the second half.

Substitutes:

Robin Gosens – 6/10

Jamal Musiala – 6/10

Florian Wirtz – 6/10

Kai Havertz – 6/10

Tim Kleindienst – N/A
