Germany’s U19 captain to the Bundesliga?
By Michael Kryschak@michaelkryschak

Germany’s U19 captain Noah Darvich is increasingly likely to leave Barcelona – two Bundesliga clubs are on the lookout.

Noah Darvich has had quite an exciting career already for an 18-year-old: he won the U17 EUROS and World Cup as one of the star players for Germany and was even bought by Barcelona of all clubs for a transfer fee of €2.5 million – back when he was 16 years old!

However, Darvich has seemingly realised that the competition for his position (attacking midfield) in the Barcelona senior squad has strengthened to the point, where regular game time seems increasingly unlikely – that’s why he is now reportedly looking for a new club.

Barcelona headcoach Hansi Flick likes Darvich, but understands his desire to get more game time. In the past few days, Borussia Dortmund have come forward as one of the clubs, which are interested in signing Darvich.

They’ve joined Bayern Munich in the race for his signature – Barcelona meanwhile are hoping to get a fee of around €2.5 million, which they’ve paid to Freiburg in 2023 for Darvich.

The U19 captain is currently playing for Germany in the U19 EUROS. Germany have lost their opening game against the Netherlands 0-3.
