Sky Germany reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach and Ajax are close to reaching an agreement on the transfer of Ko Itakura.

After spending the past three years at Borussia Mönchengladbach, Ko Itakura looks set to continue his career in the Netherlands.

According to Sky Germany, Die Fohlen are in advanced talks with Ajax over a move for the centre-back.

The two clubs have agreed on a base fee of over €10 million and are now negotiating bonus payments, with the total deal expected to reach between €11-13 million.

Itakura has reportedly already agreed personal terms with Ajax on a long-term contract.

Eintracht Frankfurt have also shown interest in the 28-year-old, but it appears their approach came too late.
