Last month, Catalan newspaper Sport claimed that Bayern Munich had yet to receive €20 million of the €45 million fee for Robert Lewandowski’s 2022 transfer to FC Barcelona.
However, speaking at Bayern’s annual general meeting on Sunday, club president Herbert Hainer firmly denied the claims, underlining that the full amount has been paid.
“The question is easy to answer: It’s paid!” Hainer stressed.
Lewandowski scored 344 goals in 375 appearances for Bayern during his eight-year spell at the club.
The 37-year-old Polish striker has netted 105 times in 157 games for Barcelona.
