The newly promoted Bundesliga side are hoping to add depth to their defensive third.

Hamburger SV are believed to be exploring their options in France as they continue their search for a new central defender.

Warmed Omari, currently of Stade Rennais, is reportedly on the Hanseatic club’s radar, according to Fußball Transfers.

However, HSV isn’t alone – fellow Ligue 1 side Stade Brest and Italian outfit Udinese have also approached the 25-year-old.

The Serie A club, in particular, are vying for the Comoros international’s favor who made just 4 appearances on loan at Lyon last season.

At the same time, Hamburg is in talks with FC Bologna about a transfer of Stefan Posch, although a deal has not yet been finalized.

It remains unclear whether the newly promoted Bundesliga club considers Omari as an alternative or even considers signing both.
