Hanche-Olsen undergoes surgery on right knee

Mainz are wishing their centre-half a speedy recovery after receiving surgical treatment.

This afternoon, Mainz announced that Andreas Hanche-Olsen underwent surgery on his right knee in his native Norway.

Due to the surgery, the defensive specialist is missing from the Norwegian national team squad announced this afternoon.

If his recovery progresses as expected, the 28-year-old central defender will be available during the summer preseason.

Hanche-Olsen made 22 Bundesliga appearances for Die Nullfünfer across the 2024-25 campaign.
