Hannover have cashed in on Tresoldi with the youngster recouping the third biggest transfer fee in 2.Bundesliga history.

Hannover 96 have confirmed that Nicolo Tresoldi has officially joined Belgian side Club Brugge.

The reported fee for the 20-year-old is believed to be €6million with an additional €1million to come in bonuses.

Tresoldi, whose family moved from Italy to Germany to facilitate his move, will sign a deal until 2029.

Hannover’s managing director Markus Mann wished the young attacker well:

“With Nicolo, we’re losing a face of Hannover 96, but we’re also proud to have accompanied him from his beginnings in the academy on the road to the Champions League.

“It’s well known that as a second-division club, you also rely on transfer revenue, and we had another opportunity to do so this summer.

“All in all, this is a package of this magnitude that 96 has never seen before,” he added.
