Harder IN, Openda OUT? RB Leipzig enter deadline day with uncertainty

RB Leipzig expect a busy deadline day with their attacking line yet to be sorted out.

After a shambolic performance in the Bundesliga opener at the Allianz Arena, RB Leipzig recorded their first win of the season yesterday against Heidenheim. However, there is still uncertainty over the makeup of their squad for the season.

Conrad Harder is expected to join RB Leipzig, but negotiations with both the player and Sporting CP are still ongoing. The young striker came close to signing for Stade Rennais and AC Milan before the late change of plans by the player’s camp on both occasions.

That means we should wait for the final decision tomorrow since there are still some clubs showing interest in the player. Meanwhile, Lois Openda is in negotiations with Juventus. The deal could involve an initial loan because of Leipzig’s valuation of over €40 million. Bayern could also fully focus on Vincent Kompany’s compatriot if they fail to advance with their pursuit of Ademola Lookman.
