Harry Kane created Euros history with his equaliser in England’s semi-final against the Netherlands on Wednesday night.

The Three Lions fell behind after just seven minutes when Xavi Simons fired past Jordan Pickford from the edge of the area, but Kane won a penalty 11 minutes later after being caught in the box by Denzel Dumfries.

The England captain stepped up and slotted his spot-kick into the bottom corner to bring his side level.

It was Kane’s sixth knockout goal at the Euros, more than any other player in the competition’s history.

This is Kane’s third European Championship but he failed to score in his first in 2016.

He made amends five years later, netting against Germany, twice against Ukraine and then in England’s semi-final win over Denmark.

The 30-year-old striker failed to find the net in the final against Italy as England lost on penalties at Wembley.

In performances in Germany have been criticised, but Kane popped up with England’s winner against Slovakia in the last-16.

He then netted his sixth knockout goal from the spot to get England back into the game against the Netherlands following their early setback.
