Harry Kane prompted injury fears amongst England’s ranks after clattering into the post in Bayern Munich‘s 5-2 win over Darmstadt on Saturday.
The 30-year-old bagged a record-breaking 31st league goal of the season and Jamal Musiala added two more in the side’s 5-2 demolition of hosts Darmstadt 98 on Saturday.
Victory moved the reigning champions provisionally to within seven points of leaders Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, but it was Kane’s injury that was the main talking point.
Kane put Bayern, who face Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-finals next month, 2-1 up in first-half stoppage time to take his league tally to 31, more than any player has scored in their first Bundesliga season.
It is also a personal league best for the England captain, who scored between Musiala’s two goals but was taken off injured after sliding into the post late in the game.

Kane was subbed off following the incident in the last game before the upcoming international break
The collision left him sprawled on the floor inside the penalty box with Kane immediately calling for treatment.
Team physios attended to his left-leg but were quick to decide that the England star couldn’t continue as he gingerly limped back to the dugout.
Kane is set to meet up with Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions camp ahead of upcoming friendlies against Brail and Germany in their last round of games before this summer’s European Championship.
Substitute Serge Gnabry added their fourth goal in the 74th and Mathys Tel got the fifth in stoppage time before Darmstadt’s Oscar Vilhelmsson pulled back a goal. Darmstadt had taken a 28th-minute lead with Tim Skarke.
The win lifts Bayern to 60 points in second place, with Leverkusen, on 67, travelling to Freiburg on Sunday.
