Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber has heaped praise on Cristhian Mosquera after his standout defensive showing against Athletic Club yesterday.
The Gunners started their Champions League with a 2-0 win over Athletic at San Mames. Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard scored late goals.
Mosquera was also impressive in the heart of the defence for the Gunners. He won an impressive seven duels and completed 95 percent of his passes.
Speaking after the game, Timber said that Mosquera was amazing against the La Liga outfit and it ‘looks so easy for him’ despite his young age.
He said: “He did amazing! He’s still so young, the way he comes in, it looks so easy for him – winning his duels & on the ball as well, it’s great to have him next to me & I think he’s got a bright future ahead as well.”
The Gunners have won back-to-back matches after the international break and will be aiming to extend the streak against Manchester City on Sunday.
