“He feels very comfortable” – Jonathan Tah on Upamecano’s uncertain Bayern future

Jonathan Tah has shared his thoughts on Bayern Munich’s prospects of keeping Dayot Upamecano.

Since joining Bayern Munich from Bayer Leverkusen last summer, Jonathan Tah has established a strong centre-back partnership with Dayot Upamecano.

Bayern are keen to extend Upamecano’s contract beyond this season, but his future at the club remains uncertain.

Tah is optimistic about his partner staying, noting that Upamecano seems settled at Bayern.

“I believe he feels very, very comfortable,” Tah told Süddeutsche Zeitung.

“He has emphasised that many times already. He has been at Bayern for a long time and feels that the coach can offer him something. He feels that the team is good, that the atmosphere and the energy are good.

“But it’s a decision he has to make for himself.”
