Prior to Sunday’s crunch match with Eintracht Frankfurt in the race for European football, Mainz gaffer Bo Henriksen hosted the club’s press conference in the mixed room.

“We’re excited to play a game like this – we’re sold out, and that’s amazing for us. It’s going to be a fun game.

“The important thing for us is that we have a good feeling and not just think about the fact that we haven’t won in six games. We feel the support of our fans, the city, and the club every day – it’s incredible,” Henriksen added.

The Danish head coach went on to highlight two players who they hope will be fit in time, whilst praising club veteran Stefan Bell and their tricky opponents Frankfurt.

“Moritz Jenz and Anthony Caci aren’t yet sure if they’ll be able to play. We’ll see tomorrow if it’s enough.

“Bello [Stefan Bell] is a club legend and very, very important to us. He’s not just a good footballer, but also an important character in the team and for us as a coaching staff.

“Frankfurt is very good at transition, so it’s important that we defend well against such a high-quality team,” he concluded.
