The long transfer saga around Bayern and Jonathan Tah is about to come to an end: Tah touches down in Munich ahead of his medical checks.

This has been a long time coming: Jonathan Tah is now set to become a Bayern Munich player! The defender has arrived in Munich for his medical checks.

While Bayern Munich are still in talks with Bayer Leverkusen about getting Tah in earlier for the club world cup in June, the 29-year-old is most definetly joining the Bavarians for next season – the early medical check could be a sign of an agreement between the two clubs.

The most recent reports stated that Leverkusen demand 1/12 of the fee they wanted to get for their captain last summer. This would accumulate to around €2 million + bonus payments in the region of €500k to €1 million.

The current plans for Bayern’s central defense is a duo of Jonathan Tah and Dayot Upamecano. Minjae Kim is supposedly allowed to scout the market for a new club, while Hiroki Ito and Josip Stanišić are planned as backup centre-backs.

Should Tah pass his medical checks, Bayern could announce his signing today or tomorrow – but most definetly before the month of June starts.
