16-year-old Kennet Eichhorn has chased by Europe’s top clubs for some time, and his first senior goal in Hertha BSC’s 6-1 DFB-Pokal win over Kaiserslautern on Tuesday has only increased the hype.

All Bundesliga clubs as well as Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly monitoring the youngster.

But, apparently, Hertha want Eichhorn to remain in the German capital for the time being, with Bild reporting that the 2. Bundesliga side are considering offering the young midfielder a contract extension until 2030.

By doing so, they hope to remove the €10-12 million release clause in his current deal, putting themselves in a stronger position for future negotiations with other clubs.

But even if the young defensive midfielder signs a new contract, a move at the end of the season can’t be ruled out.
