Tottenham star Heung-min Son could help Manchester United sign Victor Osimhen in 2025.
There have been growing reports in recent days that Man Utd plan to activate Osimhen’s €75 million release clause in his Napoli contract, with Il Mattino claiming United will go for the Nigerian in January.
Osimhen is on loan at Galatasaray for the season but Fanatik reports that the Turkish club could be open to letting the striker go mid-season if they find a top-class replacement.
And Fanatik claims that Tottenham star Heung-min Son is the man Galatasaray would like to replace Osimhen with.
Son’s Tottenham contract expires at the end of the season, which means Spurs could be more open themselves to offloading him in January in order to receive a transfer fee.
So the South Korea star could be the key to Osimhen ending up at Old Trafford next month.
Ill Mattino reports that Man Utd face competition from Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus for Osimhen as all three of the European giants would like to sign a number nine in the January window.

Napoli hope to use the money of Osimhen’s sale to sign Lecce’s Parick Dorgu, Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior and another midfielder, possibly Empoli’s Jacopo Fazzini.
There is a €75 million release clause in Osimhen’s contract that becomes active in January.
Osimhen is more likely to see out the rest of the season at Galatasaray, who would like to buy him permanently but almost certainly can’t afford to.
Osimhen to Galatasaray on loan
Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan for the season from Napoli until June 2025.
It is a dry loan with Galatasaray simply covering his salary from September until June at a cost of €10 million.
He has enjoyed a fantastic start to the season with Galatasaray, already scoring 10 goals in 13 games.
The attacker had spent the entire summer searching for a new club and sacked his agent when this wasn’t forthcoming.
The 25-year-old had been frozen out of the squad at Napoli, with no chance of being reintegrated under new manager Antonio Conte.
Instead of spending the entire first half of the season training on his own, Osimhen opted to join Galatasaray on loan.
Osimhen saw his relationship with Napoli sour last season, following the TikTok scandal in which the club’s own social media team mocked his penalty miss with Bologna.
Osimhen had a largely difficult season on the pitch, while Napoli endured a disastrous defence of the Scudetto they won in the 2022-23 season as they finished 10th in Serie A.
The Nigerian had been a key player in the Scudetto campaign, scoring 26 league goals in 32 games.
