Highly-rated Bundesliga striker dreams of Barcelona move

TSG Hoffenheim’s Fisnik Asllani has revealed that his ultimate dream is to one day play for FC Barcelona.

Fisnik Asllani has reportedly attracted interest from clubs across Europe following an impressive start to the season with TSG Hoffenheim.

Speaking to Sport Bild, the 23-year-old forward revealed that there is one club in particular he dreams of playing for.

“My dream club has always been FC Barcelona,” Asllani said.

“I’ve always wanted to play there. I want to play in the Champions League someday. It’s important to have dreams and to work towards them.”

During the summer, Asllani chose to sign a long-term contract extension with Hoffenheim until 2029, but he may not stay that long, with both Sky Germany and Bild reporting that the deal includes a release clause.

On his decision to sign a new contract with the Sinsheim outfit, Asllani explained:

“The plan that was presented to me convinced me. I was promised an important role, and we have a great team. There are really good players here. For me, it’s also about enjoying the game; I just want to play football.”

The Kosovo international, who spent last season on loan at Elversberg in the 2. Bundesliga, has already scored five goals in seven competitive matches this season.
