Hoeneß plays down Fenerbahçe speculation

Sebastian Hoeneß has shut down talk of a possible move to Fenerbahçe.

According to reports, Turkish giants Fenerbahçe have placed VfB Stuttgart coach Sebastian Hoeneß on their shortlist of possible replacements for the recently sacked José Mourinho.

Hoeneß, however, has firmly dismissed the speculation, making it clear that he has no interest in a move to Istanbul.

“The interest has not reached me,” Hoeneß emphasized in an interview with Sky Germany.

“For me, this is absolutely not an topic – definitely not! In the media it’s big, but for me it’s not a topic.”

The 43-year-old has been in charge of Stuttgart since 2023. He guided the club to the DFB-Pokal trophy last season.
