Hoffenheim send defender out on loan

Attila Szalai has joined Standard Liege on loan from Hoffenheim.

TSG Hoffenheim have confirmed that  Attila Szalai will spent the rest of the season on loan at Standard Liege.

Szalai has yet to make an appearance for Hoffenheim this season and hasn’t been in the Bundesliga side’s squad since August.

“Despite the difficult sporting situation for him at TSG in recent months, Attila has always behaved with impeccable character and always put himself at the service of the team,” said Hoffenheim managing director for sport Andreas Schicker. 

“We had a very detailed and above all trusting discussion shortly after my arrival last year, in which we both very quickly came to the realisation that a new loan was the best solution for everyone involved in the current situation. I wish Attila all the best for the coming months in Liège and, above all, every success.”
