Milan rose to an emphatic 3-0 victory away against Inter in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final on Thursday night, which sealed their place in the final with a 4-1 aggregate victory, which will also provide a useful financial boost for the Rossoneri moving forwards.

A brace from Luka Jovic and a result-sealing third from Tijjani Reijnders in the 85th minute sent the Rossoneri on their way to the Coppa Italia final on Wednesday night.

As a result of their victory in San Siro, Milan are expected to earn at least €4.6m for qualifying for the Coppa Italia final. That figure will increase to around €7.1m if the Rossoneri go on to win the final at the Stadio Olimpico.

These figures are similar to what they were in 2023-24, but will only be officially confirmed once the final has taken place.

However, there could also be a series of knock-on effects for Milan, which could, in turn, bring them even more revenue streams.

For instance, Milan’s place in the Coppa Italia final means that they will also be part of the four-team line-up for the Supercoppa Italiana next season.

Milan pocketed around €8m in prize money for winning the Supercoppa Italiana at the beginning of 2025. It brings a guarantee of at least €1.6m just for appearing in the mini-tournament in Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, if Milan go on to win the Coppa Italia, then they will earn qualification to the Europa League, which is a bonus on a sporting and financial level given that the Rossoneri are currently in ninth place in Serie A and will not qualify if the standings remain the same at the end of the 2024-25 season.

The Europa League could in turn be worth several million in prize money alone, not including funds raised from TV rights, ticketing, merchandise and the sort.
