Jonas Meffert is leaving Hamburger SV to return to Holstein Kiel.

After four and a half years at Hamburger SV, Jonas Meffert is returning to Holstein Kiel.
Both HSV and Holstein Kiel confirmed on Saturday that the 31-year-old has completed a permanent transfer to the 2. Bundesliga side.
“Meffo has been a defining figure in our team over recent years and has been a fantastic servant to the club,” said HSV board member Eric Huwer.
“We wish him all the very best for the next chapter of his journey and will always welcome him warmly at the Volksparkstadion.”
Meffert joined HSV from Holstein Kiel in 2021. He has been limited to just seven appearances for HSV this season.
