Inter head coach Cristian Chivu has received a huge boost ahead of Monday evening’s Club World Cup match against Fluminense, with Marcus Thuram and Davide Frattesi returning to training.

The Gazzetta dello Sport report that both Thuram and Frattesi returned to individual training on Friday, as Inter arrived in Charlotte, North Carolina for the next phase of their Club World Cup tour.

The rest of the team had the day set aside for rest, the reports claim, but the duo, having returned from injury, had their conditions assessed and were allowed to familiarise themselves with the facilities of Charlotte FC, whose training centre will host the Nerazzurri.

Up front, Pio Esposito is set to start once again alongside Lautaro Martinez.
