Diant Ramaj has no interest in returning to Borussia Dortmund just to sit on the bench.

After signing for Borussia Dortmund from Ajax during the winter transfer window, Diant Ramaj was immediately loaned out to FC Copenhagen, where he played a key role in helping the Danish capital club win the domestic double.

With that loan spell now concluded, the 23-year-old has made it clear that he has no interest in returning to Dortmund only to serve as backup to Gregor Kobel.

“For me, it’s simple: I need to be on the pitch, get minutes, gain match experience. So it’s clear: I won’t go back to Dortmund just to sit on the bench,” Ramaj told Sport Bild.

Still under contract until 2029, Ramaj could now head out on loan again – ideally to a club from one of the top five leagues that is competing in Europe.

“It’s clear to me that I’m not going back to Dortmund just to wait in line. I need to play,” he stressed.

“I’ve said that I’m the best goalkeeper of my generation, and I think I’ve proven that in recent months.”
