‘I’d have felt really disappointed in myself’: Chris Sutton gives his verdict on Arne Slot’s huge opening day call against Ipswich as It’s All Kicking Off, the Mail’s unmissable football podcast returns

Chris Sutton has claimed he would feel ‘really disappointed’ in himself if he were in Jarell Quansah’s position after Liverpool beat Ipswich 2-0 on Saturday.

The young defender was taken off at half-time by new manager Arne Slot, who confirmed after the game that he had been hooked due to losing too many duels.

It was a bold move that was ultimately vindicated as his replacement Ibrahima Konate helped the Reds gain a foothold in the game and they went on to secure three points.
