Injuries are piling up for Atalanta, as Marco Carnesecchi and Sead Kolasinac limped off, while Gianluca Scamacca picked up a new problem on his comeback after six months out.

It was an unfortunate day all around for La Dea in their 1-1 draw with Torino, as Mateo Retegui saw his penalty parried by Vanja Milinkovic-Savic after Berat Djimsiti and Guillermo Maripan goals.

The problems started during the warm-up, when goalkeeper Carnesecchi pulled out with a thigh issue and was replaced by Rui Patricio at the last minute.

Atalanta fitness worries are building

In the first half, Kolasinac then felt a twinge in his right thigh and had to limp off the pitch to make way for Rafael Toloi.

There was some good news, as Italy international Scamacca came on for his first appearance since tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee back in August 2024.

However, coach Gian Piero Gasperini revealed to DAZN that the striker had felt a twinge in his thigh within minutes of the substitution.

Scamacca will therefore need to undergo tests, but there are concerns for all three players.

It is further damage for Atalanta, who are already missing Ademola Lookman, Giorgio Scalvini and Odilon Kossounou.
