Tidiam Gomis will be out for weeks with an injury.

RB Leipzig have confirmed that Tidiam Gomis will be out for approximately five to six weeks due to a ligament injury. The 18-year-old was part of France’s squad that won the Maurice Revellon tournament last month.

The winger featured eight times in the Bundesliga after joining Leipzig from the then-Ligue 2 club Caen. With Benjamin Sesko and Loïs Openda on the bench, he made his starting debut in the last game of the season against Stuttgart as a striker.

Ole Werner’s side is actively pursuing other transfers after securing three signings on Wednesday. This will be the first time Leipzig will not play in a European competition since their promotion to the Bundesliga.
