Another Match of the Day is on the way. Inside Sport understands that the BBC are looking to make a new digital show that carries the famous title as part of an as-yet undecided name.
The programme, which has the current moniker ‘MOTD Dissected’ will be around 30 minutes long and will be published twice a week.
The aim is to dissect the major topics and talking points in the game that week and the show will be run across all BBC platforms including iPlayer, Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds.
As Mail Sport revealed, Match of the Day is to have a new look this season with Kelly Cates leading a three-person presenting team along with Mark Chapman and Gabby Logan following the retirement of Gary Lineker.
New Premier League studio
The Premier League is to create ‘Volleywood’ – at a vast studio in west London.
Clubs have been told that the competition has acquired no less than 74,000 square feet at Olympia, which will become home to the new Premier League studios.

Premier League Productions will move their operation to the new site, which is expected to be operational for the 2026-27 season.
The switch coincides with the end of the long-standing deal with IMG and will see the Premier League bring production in house, with around 250 staff involved.
It is also part of the £1.3bn regeneration project at Olympia, which will see the arrival of a new ‘creative district’.
The Premier League declined to comment, but clubs were informed of the development last week and that the VAR operation will be remaining at Stockley Park.
Manchester United’s ticket price issue
Manchester United have been buying tickets back from fans who cannot attend matches, adding hospitality packages and then flogging them to someone else for a higher fee, for a couple of seasons.
However, despite the fact that the practice is now well-established, eyebrows were raised after one fan claimed the seats he had sold back for the forthcoming Europa League semi-final against Athletic Bilbao were being offered for 14 TIMES what he had paid for them.
The punter, who subsequently deleted his tweet, said he was charged £57 for himself and his daughter. He then spotted his seats – with a pre-match hospitality package down the road at Lancashire Cricket Club added – going for no less than £798.
United say such a practice helps to keep general admission prices down.

Liverpool snub Dutch journos
Lots of anger among Dutch journalists after nobody from the country was admitted to the press box for Liverpool’s title-clinching victory over Tottenham.
Not one Netherlands-based reporter, including representatives of the country’s version of the BBC, was successful with accreditation applications in a move that has not gone down well.
Arne Slot became the first Dutchman to win the Premier League, while Liverpool have a Dutch captain and a total of four Dutch players in their squad.
Such is the level of annoyance that a complaint is to be lodged with the Football Writers’ Association.
While the Anfield press box was understandably full to capacity, those to miss out say this does not happen to them at any of the other big clubs.

Benn versus Eubank Jr ‘Fatal Fury’ controversy
Eyebrows were raised at the decision to brand Saturday night’s Conor Benn versus Chris Eubank Jr bout ‘Fatal Fury’ with the video game of the same name front and centre.
Given the weight difference involved, some wondered of the optics of such a stunt. And it appeared to backfire when a packed crowd at Tottenham’s stadium was forced to watch two gamers play against each other on the big screens ahead of a couple of undercard clashes.
With the atmosphere building, the footage led to understandable boos from many of those present who had not shelled out their hard-earned to attend an eSports event.

Boris Becker 40th Wimbledon anniversary
Boris Becker is cashing in on the 40th anniversary of his first Wimbledon win, signing an exclusive deal with a media company to reveal all about his 1985 title.
As such, the German has been gagged from doing any other interviews about his historic victory aged 17.
Becker’s refusal to speak about 1985 or his life caught out the organisers of the Laureus World Sports Awards in Madrid last weekend.
As a paid Laureus Academy member, the 57-year-old had been booked in for several media appearances, but he failed to show for some and would only talk about current tennis goings-on in others.
Becker, who was declared bankrupt in 2017, was jailed for two and a half years in April 2022 for hiding £2.5million worth of assets and loans to avoid paying debts.
He was released from prison in December 2022 after serving eight months of his sentence and deported from the UK.
The former BBC pundit could make a working return at Wimbledon this summer, with the terms of his conviction and deportation allowing him back in Britain from October 2024.

Oldham fans went viral for making fun of Forest Green, the world’s first vegan football club, by wearing butcher’s outfits
Oldham fans’ vegan dig
A group of Oldham fans went viral on Saturday morning when they were pictured dressed as butchers for their trip to Forest Green, the world’s first vegan football club, for their final away day of the regular season.
The home side, however, had the final say. ‘The final score,’ said the PA announcer at full-time, ‘is Vegans 1, Butchers 0’.
