Lorenzo Insigne would love to reunite with Maurizio Sarri at Lazio, but if the transfer embargo remains even in September, then he will have to reconsider Parma, Udinese and Fiorentina proposals.

We had already reported last night that Insigne spoke directly with Sarri about the possibility of working together again, after their fruitful experience at Napoli.

The Italian is a free agent after terminating his contract with Toronto FC and is eager for a return to Italy.

While Lazio would be at the top of his wish list and Sarri is enthusiastic about it too, the fact remains Lazio are currently under a transfer embargo that blocks them from signing any new players, including free agents.

It is possible he could train with the squad out of contract until September, hoping that by then part of the embargo is lifted and the club is allowed to sign players who are free agents, but that is by no means certain.

If it means waiting until January to get back on the pitch, then Insigne really will have to reconsider other alternatives.

There has been interest from Parma and Udinese, with on a more timid level Fiorentina also keeping an eye on the situation.
