Inter and Inzaghi have transfer pact ahead of Al-Hilal move – Football Italia

Reports in Italy claim that there is a gentleman’s agreement in place between Inter and former head coach Simone Inzaghi that prevents the Italian from attempting to sign any of his former players once he joins Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal. 

Inzaghi is expected to join Al-Hilal on an initial two-year contract in the near future, after his departure from his position as head coach of Inter was confirmed on Tuesday. 

Inzaghi, who spent exactly four years at the helm in San Siro, is expected to be in charge of Al-Hilal in time for the start of the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, with his first game expected to fall against Real Madrid on June 18. 

Inzaghi will not attempt to bring Inter players to Al-Hilal 

According to reports from Corriere della Sera, Inzaghi and the Inter management agreed to a ‘pact’ during their final meeting on Tuesday, just before the confirmation of the coach’s departure arrived. 

Wednesday’s reports claim that Inzaghi will not attempt to sign any of the current Inter players once he is officially appointed as head coach of Al-Hilal. 

Corriere della Sera claims that Inzaghi had asked Al-Hilal about the possibility of signing some of his key Nerazzurri players, including the likes of Alessandro Bastoni and Nicolo Barella, both of whom would have turned down the proposal anyway. 

Wednesday’s report claims that 37-year-old Francesco Acerbi would have been keen on a move to the Saudi Pro League, but is now not expected to follow Inzaghi either.
