Inter Milan are favourites to sign Arsenal and Manchester United target Jonathan David this summer.
The Canada international has been in sensational form for Lille this campaign, registering 23 goals and 10 assists from 43 games.
He is expected to leave Lille when his contract expires on June 30. Arsenal and United are his admirers, but Inter have an edge.
Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the Nerazzurri are in advanced negotiations and they have already spoken with the player’s agents.
The Serie A giants are prepared to offer £8.7m per season to the 25-year-old. He would also receive a significant signing-on bonus.
David has previously spoken about his dream of playing in the Premier League, but he could also be tempted to join the Nerazzurri.
Inter won the Serie A title in the last campaign and they are in pole position to repeat the feat with a six-point lead at the top of the table.
The Milan giants could secure a pre-contract in the near future.
