Inter Milan star wants January move to Man Utd or Chelsea?

Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries is eyeing a move to the Premier League with either Chelsea or Manchester United in January.

The Netherlands international has been long linked with English clubs, but a transfer has never materialised. This has not stopped the speculation, and Inter Live claim that Dumfries remains hopeful of a Premier League move.

Chelsea and United are long-term admirers of the Dutchman, and they are being mentioned as potential candidates to purchase him. 

Dumfries has a low release clause worth €25m in his contract, but that will only be valid between July 1 and July 15 next summer.

There is no buy-out clause for the winter transfer window, and interested clubs would have to pay a higher fee to purchase him.

Chelsea have Reece James and Malo Gusto for the right-back role and may not need another competitor at the turn of the year.

The same can be said for the Red Devils with Noussair Mazraoui, Diogo Dalot and Amad Diallo present for the right wing-back role.

Unless there is a high-profile exit, neither club may come forward to sign the former PSV Eindhoven man in the next window.
