Inter intend to proceed in the Ademola Lookman talks, but do not expect a Teun Koopmeiners style saga, because they want it all done and dusted with Atalanta in 10 days.
The Nerazzurri know that the player has a preference for them, even if there have been reports linking the Nigerian to different clubs.
However, that does not mean we are in for a repeat of last summer, when the Koopmeiners soap opera dragged on for weeks and weeks until he finally moved to Juventus.
Inter set a deadline for Lookman
As far as Inter are concerned, Lookman had been promised he could leave if an offer worth €40m came in, but seeing as Atalanta do not share the same view, the right solution could be €45m plus €5m in add-ons to reach the €50m asking price.
Above all, the focus is for Inter not to stretch this out for long, so that new coach Cristian Chivu can immediately have a great reinforcement for the attack.
This is the mission for Inter, to get Lookman done and dusted within the next 10 days.
