Sky Sport Italia reports that Newcastle have enquired about Davide Frattesi, with Inter open to discussing a move, but only for at least €40m and as long as the deal is completed quickly.

Newcastle have resumed interest in Inter midfielder Frattesi after initial reports emerged earlier this month.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the Magpies have enquired again about the Italian midfielder, finding Inter’s door potentially open.

The Nerazzurri, in fact, seem willing to discuss Frattesi’s transfer to St. James’ Park but have set some clear conditions.

First of all, they value Frattesi at €40m, and then they’d accept a loan deal with an obligation to buy tied to easily achievable targets.

Newcastle, on the other hand, seem to agree on the transfer formula, but their obligation to buy is tied to targets more difficult to reach.

Inter have not put Frattesi on the market, but they are open to continuing talks with Newcastle as long as the Premier League club wants to close the deal quickly.
