Inter will reportedly offer Henrikh Mkhitaryan a new contract, but Yann Sommer, Francesco Acerbi, Matteo Darmian and Stefan de Vrij will leave in June, opening the door to a defensive overhaul at the Stadio Meazza.

Inter are already preparing for some big changes at the back as three of their defenders, Darmian, Acerbi and De Vrij, won’t be offered a new contract, leaving the club on a free transfer in June, reports TMW.

The summer overhaul will also include the goalkeeper role, as Sommer is expected to leave the club at the end of his contract in June.

Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario has emerged as Inter’s main target to replace Sommer next summer, with the Italy international eager to return to Serie A from North London.

Other goalkeepers linked with a move to Inter are Liverpool’s Alisson and Marco Carnesecchi, even though the latter is expected to sign a new deal with Atalanta.

As TMW reports, central midfielder Mkhitaryan is the only Inter player who will receive an offer to extend his expiring contract.

The Nerazzurri’s proposal, however, will include a 30% pay cut, from €3.8m per season to €2.5m for 2026-27.
