Inter to rival Chelsea for Xavi Simons?

Bild reports that Inter could join Chelsea in the race for Xavi Simons.

According to Bild, Inter could rival Chelsea for the signing of Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig.

The Serie A club have reportedly identified Simons as a backup option to Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman, who remains Inter’s top transfer priority. 

If their move for Lookman falls through, Inter are expected to shift their focus to Simons – though they may have to act quickly.

Multiple reports suggest Chelsea are already in advanced negotiations to sign the Dutch international, who would reportedly cost around €70 million.

Simons has spent the last two seasons at RB Leipzig. His loan move from Paris Saint-Germain was made permanent this past winter for a reported €50 million.
