Gambia 2-3 Cameroon
Ablie Jallow of FC Metz scored an equalizer before Gambia took a shock lead over Cameroon, but the Indomitable Lions would have the last word, with young Stade Rennais defender Christopher Wooh scoring a winner in the seventh minute of injury time to allow his country to pip Guinea to second place.

Guinea 0-2 Senegal
Guinea finished Group C on four points after losing to Senegal, who topped the group with a perfect record. The Lions of Teranga had five Ligue 1 players in their lineup, and Marseille’s Iliman Ndiaye came off the bench to score in the final minute of the match.

Mauritania 1-0 Algeria
In a tournament that has been full of shocks, Mauritania delivered one of the biggest to date, keeping Algeria at bay in a result that saw Les Fennecs finish bottom of Group D.

Angola 2-0 Burkina Faso
The Angolans topped Group D with Clermont Foot’s Jérémie Bela coming off the bench to play half an hour, while Burkina Faso finished in second place as both sides await their opponents in the Round of 16

Finally, in the Asian Cup, Abdukodir Khusanov wasn’t in the squad as Australia and Uzbekistan played out a one-all draw in the final match of Group B, the result seeing both sides advance.
