Alexander Isak insists that he is not thinking about a summer transfer at this stage despite persistent links with Arsenal and Liverpool.
The Swedish sharpshooter is in the midst of a magical season with Newcastle. Isak scored at Wembley on Sunday to help the Magpies claim their first piece of major silverware in 70 years.
Fittingly, Isak did it against Liverpool, one of the club’s most persistently chasing his signature. Indeed, FootballTransfers previously revealed that they are his most realistic destination should he opt to leave St. James’ Park this summer.

Arsenal, too, are desperate to bring in Isak, although they view Benjamin Sesko as better value for money because he has a fixed price that is way below what Newcastle would demand for the 25-year-old.
In fact, Newcastle haven’t officially set an asking price for Isak because the club’s Saudi owners are adamant that the striker will not be sold this summer. The former Real Sociedad star is the favourite player of chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan.

Isak breaks silence on summer transfer
Isak jetted out to Spain right after the final with Liverpool on Sunday to meet up with Sweden’s squad in Marbella for international duty. The in-demand No.9 has now discussed his future with Fotbollskanalen and insists that a move is not on his mind at present.
“There’s not much to say really,” Isak began. “I’ve commented on my situation and my security in Newcastle several times. It’s been written how much I love the city and the club, how well I feel there.

“I’m not thinking about the future. I just want to perform for Newcastle. Now we won the cup, but we want to finish strong and reach the Champions League. That’s where my focus lies.
“Things like [winning the Carabao Cup] can’t be described. I think you can only imagine how it feels. It’s an incredible feeling. Wembley packed with all the Newcastle fans there. I’m looking forward to seeing what Newcastle is like as a city after that. I haven’t been back yet.”
