Liverpool manager Arne Slot has heaped praise on Mohamed Salah following his performance against Southampton in the Premier League.
The Reds had a testing challenge against the Saints on the road and they eventually came on top with a 3-2 scoreline at St Mary’s.
The club were trailing 2-1 on the road at one stage, but Salah came up with a fantastic finish to level the scores for the Merseyside giants.
The Egyptian went on to score the winner from the penalty spot. Speaking after the game, Slot was particularly impressed with the equaliser.
He said: “The timing of the run and the way Mo finished it was special and that helped us really back into the game, of course.”
Liverpool have moved eight points clear at the top of the Premier League following their comeback win over the Saints away from home.
The Reds face second-placed Manchester City in the top-flight next weekend. They can extend their lead further by beating them.
